
About Jesse M. Boyd
Jesse holds a degree in Horn Performance from Bob Jones University where he also completed the class and lesson requirements for a degree in piano performance. He has studied musical composition and arranging under Joan Pinkston, Nathan Arnold and Peter Davis. He studied horn with Mark Frederick, Jeanette Schlimgen, and Steve Lawlis. He is currently at Arizona State University working on his Master's degree in Horn Performance studying under Dr. John Ericson. His piano teachers have been Nathan Arnold, Peter Davis, and David Lehman.

While studying for his master's degree, Jesse teaches 5th grade, middle school, and high school band at a Christian school in Glendale, Arizona, plays horn with the Phoenix Brass Collective, restores and sells horns with his company, Boyd's Brass, and tunes and repairs pianos on the side. He also composes and arranges and loves recording when he gets the chance.
In 2022, Jesse recorded his first album, "I'll Sing Thy Power to Save", a sacred horn and piano album. He arranged most of the songs on the album and played both the piano and horn parts. Along with this album, Jesse has also recorded horn and piano on albums with Southland Christian Ministries and the Masada Musicians.
